Big C Vietnam’s "BigCommunity" in-house competition
10 October 2011
Launched in April 2011, the Big C Vietnam in-house competition, BigCommunity, is finishing this autumn with the deployment of the eight prize-winning projects.
To take part, Big C staff members were asked to submit ideas that would generate economic, intellectual or sustainable benefits for Vietnamese people experiencing difficulties of various kinds.
At the end of May, 47 projects had been sent in, out of which 8 were selected:
- 2 of those projects help disabled people learn a skill and find a job
- 3 of them help people get access to fresh drinking water
- 2 of them offer education for blind people and orphaned children in the practical aspects of everyday living
- the last selected project helps disabled people make objects to be sold in a Big C shopping mall.
