Big C, partner to the 2010 Hue Festival

Over forty odd companies of artists from 31 different countries taking part in the 2010 Hue Festival from 5th to 13th June in Thua Thien-Hue province, Vietnam and Big C (100% subsidiary of groupe Casino) is one of the major partners.
A biennial event that started in 2000, the Hue Festival has now become a major artistic event in Vietnam. In 2008, close to 2,000 Vietnamese and foreign artists performed before an audience of 180,000 people, 30,000 of which foreign tourists.
The 2010 edition will showcase the cultural identify of several countries of the world including France, Argentina, Great Britain, India, Cambodia, Cuba, the USA, Japan, etc and present the art of Hue royal court to the public. It features hundreds of cultural and tourist programmes such as the Ao Dai Festival (traditional Vietnamese women’s costume) as well as musical, fireworks, dance, drama, circus displays, fashion shows, etc.
France is a long-standing partner to this festival eager to show its theme for this year: "Cultural Heritage, Integration and Development".
Big C’ s partnership in this festival comes in the form of in-store festival promotion as well as in its catalogues, special in-store offers and it is also putting on coaches for the Vietnamese people to get to the festival.
