This policy was designed to encourage the hiring of applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and to foster equality at every level and in every company activity.
Opportunities for disabled workers
The Casino Group first introduced a policy to encourage employment of the disabled in 1995.
The latest Handipacte agreement defines the Group's commitments for the period 2011-2013.
In particular, the Group has pledged to hire at least 180 disabled persons, host a minimum of 180 disabled interns and retain disabled employees and those who become disabled.
Fostering respect for human rights in the workplace
Since 2000 the Casino Group has maintained an ethics programme designed to promote and monitor respect for human rights in the workplace among its suppliers in emerging countries.
