Casino Group has committed itself to reducing its indirect greenhouse gas emissions by 10% between 2018 and 2025, a goal validated by the SBT (Science-Based Targets) and in accordance with the Paris Agreement. In order to achieve this objective, Casino Group has initiated the CARBON FORUM which brings together more than 30 major suppliers committed to the climate.
The main objectives of the CARBON FORUM are:
- to encourage each of its members to take Science-Based Targets objectives for the reduction of its carbon emissions,
- to monitor and steer the achievement of these set objectives by good practices sharing,
- to lead collaborative workshops on topics that are impacting the climate
The CARBON FORUM has achieved the objective that at least 50% of its current members should be committed to the Science-Based Targets by 2022
