Labels That Make a Difference
Organic Food Products: Groupe Casino supports organic farming and offers organic products accessible to as many people as possible, with private-label ranges such as Casino Bio, Monoprix Bio, Franprix Bio, and over 200 Naturalia stores offering 100% organic products.
Organic Textiles: Monoprix became one of the first retailers to obtain the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) label in February 2024. This certification applies not only to cotton products but also to some wool items. The label ensures that animals are raised on organic farms and prohibits practices such as mulesing and the use of hormonal treatments that could be harmful to both animals and humans.
Organic Cosmetics: All Group brands offer private-label cosmetic products certified by Ecocert according to the Cosmos Organic standard.
Since 2016, Monoprix has implemented the “Tous Cultiv’acteurs” program, aimed at promoting a more sustainable agricultural model, particularly one that is pollinator-friendly. The program engages partner suppliers for a three-year period under specifications co-developed with the BEE FRIENDLY® label and agricultural experts.
Marine and Responsible Aquaculture Certifications
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) combats overfishing and works to preserve marine resources through a recognized certification program and eco-label. Fisheries are evaluated and audited by independent certification bodies according to the MSC “Sustainable Fishing” standard, based on three principles:
Fish populations capable of replenishing and present in sufficient numbers;
Minimizing impacts on marine ecosystems and resources;
Effective and transparent fishery management.
The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) promotes more responsible aquaculture through an independent certification program and recognized eco-label. Fish farms are assessed and audited by independent certification bodies according to scientific standards built on seven key principles:
Preserve water quality and biodiversity;
Limit environmental impacts of farming;
Use feed from responsible sources;
Ensure the health and welfare of farmed species;
Minimize the use of antibiotics and medications;
Respect the rights of employees and local communities.

All Group brands offer a range of more environmentally friendly cleaning products, certified by two external labels: Eco-Detergent for detergent products and the European Ecolabel for other cleaning products.
The Group relies on PEFC or equivalent external certifications to ensure sustainable forest management in the sourcing of raw materials for paper- or wood-based products. As a result, 100% of the Group’s private-label paper-based cleaning products (paper towels, toilet paper, wipes, etc.) carry a PEFC or equivalent certification.
Towards a More Plant-Based Diet

In 2025, 39% of French households identify as flexitarians, marking a 15-point increase since 2015. To support this shift in eating habits, Groupe Casino offers a wide range of products that meet these new needs, including:
Substitutes for products originally containing animal ingredients, such as dairy alternatives (plant-based drinks, soy-based dessert specialties) and meat alternatives (plant-based “meats,” vegetarian charcuterie, etc.).
Alternative protein sources, including legumes, cereals, and nuts.
Groupe Casino’s brands are also committed to promoting these new consumption habits through major communication events such as Veganuary or the Vegan Barbecue. In 2024, Monoprix, in partnership with Bonduelle and Céréal Bio, conducted a citizen consultation to identify barriers to the development of plant-based eating in France.
This initiative led to the creation of La Grande Semaine Végétale, whose first edition took place in 2025, supported by Groupe Casino as a patron.
